Elizabeth Inglis has over 13 years of experience in employment and related litigation matters.


Elizabeth focuses her practice on representing executive clients in negotiating employment agreements and related documents, and navigating difficult terminations. Elizabeth also counsels company clients through drafting employment contracts, drafting and implementing personnel practices and procedures, and ensuring compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws.


In addition, Elizabeth has represented clients before administrative agencies and regulators, including defense of whistleblower claims before OSHA, defense and mediation of claims before the MCAD, and response to wage and hour audits by the Massachusetts AG. She also has represented clients in all stages of disputes in both state and federal court, and has worked extensively with employment related litigation issues, including internal whistleblower investigations and non-compete litigation.

Background & Interests

Elizabeth earned her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2004. After college, Elizabeth was awarded the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service Scholarship, which allowed her the opportunity to study for a year at the University of Hanover’s Institute of Political Science in Hanover, Germany. Subsequently, Elizabeth worked for two years as a litigation legal assistant at Skadden Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Boston before pursuing her J.D. from Cornell Law School. After gaining admission to the Massachusetts Bar in 2010, Elizabeth practiced at Dechert LLP for over three years and Cooley LLP for over seven years prior to moving to a smaller employment law boutique, Chinitz Law LLC, in mid-2021 until opening Inglis Law LLC in early 2023.

Elizabeth lives and works in Somerville, Massachusetts. Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, whether it be traveling, cheering on her kids at sports, or going hiking or camping. Elizabeth has spent several years living abroad, loves to travel, and is proficient in written and spoken German.
